I never realised
She loved me selflessly
So blind of me to ignore
When she loved me endlessly
She never ever got tired
Did all her work on time
Helped me when I needed
When I couldn’t find a rhyme
She never had a wrestling match
Still I know that she was strong
She was wise but never showed it
Knew what’s right and wrong
She knew where everything’s kept
She had the sharpest memory
She had but just a simple heart
But never an injury
Now the heaven’s shining
While Earth has lost its glow
How did I fail to realise
My mom’s a superhero!
So touching, My mummy is irreplaceable and a blessed superhero to all who encounter her. Awesome Frank

Wow: heartstrings! So true – we don’t realise how much of a super hero until we have children & have to overcome challenges similar to the ones we (or our siblings) provided our mum with! Mums are the best & no one can love you like a mum does (completely unconditional & for as long as they live, & perhaps beyond)

It took me losing my mom to realize not only was she my superhero, but she was raising three daughters to be just like her!

A touching and great tribute to your mom… and almost all moms, I believe. I say my mother was a tall woman, but she was only 4’9″! She stood tall. I looked up to her.

This one touched the chords of my heart. I felt like I am reading it for my mum. Your words emulate the feelings of so many hearts that miss their moms.Bless you!

So true! Most of us do not realise this simple truth only after she is gone.
STILL
We also donot realise and appreciate the same for the mother of our kids.

It’s just another humdrum ‘hi Mom’ day until it isn’t.
