Baby don’t you ever let your tears drop
I’m right by your side so please make them stop
I’ll do anything to make you smile again
There’ll be no reason to complain
Baby I can’t see you crying in this pain
…
Baby don’t you ever let your tears drop
Smile a little and please make them stop
I’ll narrate a funny joke to you
Dedicate a song for you
But baby don’t you cry like you do
…
Baby don’t you ever let your tears drop
I’ll sing a song to make those tears stop
Baby why don’t you smile so wide?
I am right by your side
I just hate to see you teary eyed
So it’s time to make those tears stop
Baby don’t you ever let those diamonds drop

One word – Ethereal!

Nice work. I enjoy the structure you give to your stanzas. I almost never think of a refrain when I go to write poetry. I’ll have to try that some time.

I know right! We know you guys are bothered by our tears, especially the ones we really mean. All I can tell you is being a woman can’t always be “fixed”. As I just posted, we burn with a passion that society asks us to control so men aren’t so distracted by us. It still doesn’t work. LOL.

Ik like the last line the most. Teardrops that don’t fall are like diamonds.

You should let her cry. In those liquid diamonds are healing and energy and pieces of her soul. Yes. Let her cry and collect those tears in a bottle.
