When darkness and silence reined my day
I needed a little calm to come my way
To desolation I bid adieu
I so needed a girl like you
…
Loneliness and sadness had become my friends
Depressing thoughts in my head had no ends
You turned the grey skies to blue
How I wanted a girl like you
…
My empty heart had a giant hole
That spread across and destroyed my soul
You filled the void anew
I always wished for a girl like you
…
The sands of time fell off from my hand
My isolate fate lay in a faraway land
An angel’s touch was overdue
How I longed for a girl like you
…
You brought my life back on track
Changed it to bright white from dark black
Now that I’ve got you
I’d like another girl like you

I love this one.

I actually read this one and the last one as if the girl is actually a baby girl…however I did just recently have a baby girl so perhaps my perception is biased lol

The last two lines are predestined to let rinse out many of her diamonds. Better she don’t read, I guess.
