My Thoughts Stepped Out Of My Head

My thoughts stepped out of my head
Dressed up and put on my favourite shoes
And ran straight to you
Held you, danced with you
And then came back again
Circled until the sight of the morning light
I won’t be thinking about you tomorrow night
I really need to sleep all right

      1. Nah, pretty shitty. The “her” is my wife who left me unexpectedly last week. I’d rather keep her out of my dreams and thoughts. I got a sad vibe from this poem, but maybe I’m projecting my own reality into the words.
