The stars conspired
The angels refused
To sing their songs
Or pay their dues
How could we then be together?
…
The sun went dark
The heavens blinked
Time stood still
Love was extinct
How could we then be together?
…
Lights went out
Nights did weep
When they found
The Gods asleep
How could we then be together?
…
The heavens burst
Clouds were dry
Children of Joy
Began to cry
How could we then be together?
…
I waited for you
You waited for me
Two souls waited
For eternity
How could we then be together
When the stars conspired with each other?

You make writing poem look so easy. Perfect execution! Thank you for this post. Reading it made may day.

I enjoy reading your poetry. Thank you for sharing it.
I think maybe the last line should be “stars” not “starts” …just a friendly edit.

Amazing poem. Please check the bottom line, should it be “starts” or “stars”?
Love your many poems – verily essential and creative!

My heart feels sad,
I can relate,
I debate and wait,
Is it too late?
Years gone by,
My dreams ran dry,
Our love though…
I could not deny!
My heart feels sad,
I cannot wait,
Would I see my love at the Pearly gate?
Please tell my heart,
It’s not too late?
Come on Gods!
Be Awake!
My passion does burn,
I still do yearn,
The love I feel;
I can’t conceal,
Tell me, this isn’t real?
My heart feels sad,
I cannot lie,
Would I have to wait until I die?
Oh no! Don’t say it’s not meant to be!
I cannot wait for eternity.
(The response) made up…

“Far, far away, at the edge of the earth the hotly burning sun sinks
Driving thoughts to the unseen world, the beating feelings turn into prayers
Until the day I can hear the person crying somewhere on this planet start to laugh
The light of hope reflected in children’s eyes gives me courage
The world is so vast, I don’t know if there’s anything someone small like me can do, but
All I can believe in is that clear blue sky I wonder if love can save the world” -Kokia “Live Alone”
