Only Love

When we begin to see the stuff that we are made of
We begin to understand that we are enough
When we find the purpose of this existence
Then everything begins to make sense
From dust to dust
We circle the years
At every distrust
We hide our tears
But only one thing bounds us through it all
Only one thing catches us when we fall
It is love
Love, love, love
And only love

In a world that’s constantly gathering pace
On every face I see its trace
In a world where so much is unknown
One true light shines all alone
It shows its form
In many ways
Amidst a storm
It sends its rays
Is there anything else in this accidental sphere
That pervades all life forms sans any fear
It is love
Love, love, love
And only love

In every natural wonder that we see around us
With each new learning that bounds us
The guiding light that tells us right from wrong
The only friend we needed all along
Our only hope
When all is gone
The only rope
We need hold on
The one item we need not ever buy
The one resource which is endless in supply
It is love
Love, love, love
And only love

  6. Thanks for this truth. ❤️ Battling through depression, and my ex husband is stepping up to help. I’m grateful that I had a marriage that was based only on love, so that it only became better and more pure after we separated. It confuses me, but the only explanation is that the marriage was before I truly knew my god, and the divorce is after I see God’s work in my life. Before I had that faith and knowledge, love was easily dismissed as attraction or convenience. But now that I’m on the other side, and he’s caring for me like no one ever has, I know I was right to follow God through the hard times and loss. I’m still not certain why my marriage couldn’t be saved, but who am I to argue with a
