Meet Me At The Station

I’m swallowing my pain because I
Think it’s better to do that than
Smashing plates on the floor
I’m walking out quietly because I
Think it’s a more mature way of
Dealing with arguments than
Running an axe through the walls
Of the house we built together
But hey it’s just me and my useless opinion
You know I could be wrong
But hey can’t you see at least I’m not crazy

Meet me at the station
I’ll be waiting for a train
That takes me far away from here
Meet me at the station
I’ll be waiting

Who would have thought that it would be
So ugly and filthy?
Who would have thought that it would seem
Like we’re just beginning
To understand each other
Every scream, every insult, every abuse
Chips a piece off of our masks

Meet me at the station
I’ll be waiting for a train
That takes me far away from here
A couple of tickets lie in the pocket
Of my shirt that you ripped this morning
Meet me at the station
I’ll be waiting

Perhaps it’s the place that fills our heads
With toxic thought and endless distress
One wonders what it would be like
To live in a better place
Where happiness comes your way every day
Where music lights the house
Where birds float outside the window
Where flowers bring fragrance to the door
One wonders
Hard and long

Meet me at the station
I’ll be waiting for a train
That takes us far away from here
We can board it together
Leave this mess behind
Don’t worry about it
We can start anew
Meet me at the station
I’ll be waiting

  1. Saying that someone else, even Jesus, is the answer to one’s challenges they are perceiving is what is known as “Spiritual Bypassing.” Jesus’ words are our guidance, not our fix. One must permit themselves to go deeper into their own perception of experiences and find the gems that Spirit helps one to unearth. They’re known as “lessons” from the Light, not a place of hiding in fear.

Frank is shining his Light and showing a lesson in this poem. Can’t you see it?

Well stated Frank. Perhaps more people need to take a “train” so they leave where they placed themselves and start anew.❤️

  2. 💔 When you feel sad, broken, angry . Close your eyes and pray, or sing. You feel better . Jesus is the answer for your problem.
