I’ve been hopping all my life
From one rainbow to another
Sliding along the curves, hoping
I’ll land upon a pot of gold
With every failure now I know
How my hopes have begun to fade
Every disappointment, every loss
Is now etched upon my fate
Still I dream, still I dream
For these dreams are all I have
Still I hope, still I hope
As I climb another bow

This one is really good!

Very beautiful! I think just having a ride sliding down a rainbow is the fun part of chasing the pot of gold!

I think it’s the joy of rainbows that is the true pot of gold. :0) The promise, the chase, and the relish of their beauty. When I paint, I find rainbows of color in everything waiting for light to release them. Such stored up thoughts your poem released in me. :0)
