Life is sad, bitter and painful
Interjected by moments of joy or neutrality
Those who claim that life is worth the hassle
Are deluded beyond recovery
No, I am not complaining about the end of life
We should not fear our end
It is inevitable and liberating
There is nothing after it, but void
No pain, sorrow or unhappiness
A constant state of nothing-ness
It is the death of loved ones
Which is most difficult to take
It makes life a terrible punishment
Fills you with grief, anxiety and denial
Rips your heart out and shreds it to pieces
Life is full of such losses
No joy equivalent to compensate for it
Life is sad
Life is bitter
Life is painful

Live long keep doing Frank

Life can be painful, but I guess some people will cope with the pain better than others.

So true! We all have our own way of dealing. Some are just better at it

This statement is totally incorrect,
“No, I am not complaining about the end of life
We should not fear our end
It is inevitable and liberating
There is nothing after it, but void
No pain, sorrow or unhappiness
A constant state of nothing-ness”
Just read some of my posts on my blog.

Loss and pain is an event, suffering is a choice…..
time heals provided we use that time to cope with grieving process by letting us be awash with it,. It’s ok to go through the roller coaster of waves of grief at unexpected moments, till we get to a point of talking about the loved gone with sadness, joy, pride, memories, smile, laughter… !!!
Friends are therapists for free…..the ones who will listen without judgement and just be present with listening ear for a while.

As far as what happens after we die. I am honest enough with myself to say I don’t know. I don’t believe in that whole stupid thing about some people will go to hell for eternity and others will go to heaven for eternity. It just does not make sense. And a loving God would not let people suffer for eternity. How can you earn an eternity of suffering from what you did in under 100 years. It’s so stupid and I find the whole concept infuriating. How can people believe something so stupid and evil!
That said maybe what is beyond that door is not the same for everyone. Maybe some people do stop existing which I don’t think would be really completely stopping to exist because I believe we are all connected. But maybe and I hope and believe it is true, that some live on in another plane of existence. Maybe there is many planes of existences. Different dimensions different worlds and maybe even different versions of earth. I can’t say I don’t believe in Heaven Hell. But I don’t believe at all they are permanent. Just like we can experience pure bliss and hell on earth, I believe that is the way it is after we leave these early bodies, well maybe only for the ones that want to continue to exist. But I believe we are all one but experiencing existing as different characters like in a book. And like in books some characters stop existing. I’d like there to be a place like Heaven where we can just create anything and live without the restrictions and pain of Earth. But the stories that have struggle and pain have value too.

Life doesn’t have to be mostly bitter. We can find things to do to make it happy. Yes there is pain, but there is also so much art the pain creates. The challenges are for us to overcome. I know what it is like to be tired of this world and just wanting an end to all this. But we can find ways to make our life happy. There is so much out there to be explored. It doesn’t have to be mostly dark. I hope there are things in your life worth living for.
I noticed you liked my post “Enjoying Life and Avoiding Depression”. I’m so glad you read it. Feel free to contact me.
I hope you can find the sun. There is so much to love and stuff to explore out there. There will be hard times but those are the challenges for us to overcome and rise above. And there is great happiness and satisfaction in overcoming and achieving.
The way you read this was so beautiful. But it is so tragic that it is so sad and filled with such despair. Another example of how such good can come out of such pain.

It’s difficult to lose loved ones, but such is life. Life can be painful and difficult, and life can be joyful, enjoyable, and rewarding. Life can have purpose too beyond surviving or hedonism, unless you’re just living for yourself. If that’s the case, then you truly are a miserable lot, especially if you actually believe there’s nothing after death.
But there is the crux of the matter: life after death. If you actually believe there isn’t life after death, that it’s just a void or nothingness, then you’re wrong. Because there is life after death, and that is the truth. So, if you really think there isn’t life after death you’re in for a Big surprise, and not a good one either. The hardship or misery you experience in this life will be nothing compared to the literal Hell in your life after death, and that’s the truth.
However, there is hope, and that’s through Jesus Christ. By genuinely accepting Jesus, not only blesses you with purpose in this life, but also blesses you with joyful eternal life with Jesus, for in Jesus is life. That’s the truth. It’s up to you to accept it or not.

I love your poetry! It speaks to me. This one I agree with all the way until you say there is nothing-ness. I believe death is when we are truly free and we can soar!!

I wonder how you know there is nothing after death? So how you live this life is not of great consequence? No heaven, no hell, no rebirth, no karma – how freeing! You could do anything, be as selfish as you like… but do you? Hmmm…

Bueno.
