Take a fish out of water
Watch it tremble and shake
See his heart thirst for life
Soon his will is bound to break
But put that fish back in
Back in his resident sea
Watch him swim miles and beyond
As fast as fast can be
I am like that very fish
I need my environment
But put me in some other place
Nothing short of imprisonment
Each must strive to achieve
The water that suits their law
Find it soon before it’s late
So where’s my glass of water, Ma?

Luv it Frank I haven’t heard from you in ages, did I drop of the list -anyway I have reapplied

Great point. You may not be able to separate the water from the fish.

Nice! You made me think. My environment, my “resident sea,” is walking in the countryside. The air, the smells (even the cows, haha!), the geese flying by . . . I feel so energized.
