The sun shines down
The skies are clear
The winds blow soft
And you are here
Over green grasses our bodies lay
Oh it’s such a perfect day
…
No worry about time
Running away from me
For we’ll be together
For eternity
You can almost hear the angels say
Oh it’s such a perfect day
…
You give your hand
In my hand
Our souls delight
Hearts understand
And our bodies feel just the same way
Oh it’s such a perfect day
…
I look in your eyes
You look in mine
And we know
That love’s divine
Free from all ache and decay
Oh it’s such a perfect day
…
We’ll stay here till
The world turns new
You with me
And I with you
Even when we’re old and grey
Oh it’s such a perfect day
