It took me two marriages to work out that I was being a slave to social conditioning and there was nothing in wedlock that agreed with me. Seeing myself a stranger in my partners eyes, I was best gone. Now single for 40 years, I see no stranger in the eyes I meet in the mirror and the trials and tribulations of learning to live with myself were worth every second.
