Yes it’s still the same ol’ world
Same ol’ them
Same ol’ me
With a heart that sometime’s full
And sometime’s empty
Yes it’s still the same ol’ world
Going round
Around the sun
Nothing’s changed. Nothing will
We’re just alone
Yes it’s still the same ol’ world
Same ol’ job
Same ol’ work
Maybe someday we’ll meet again
Wish me luck
Yes it’s still the same ol’ world
See the flowers
Adorn the trees
See the stars in the sky
And feel the breeze
Yes it’s still the same ol’ world
A little better
A little worse
Who’s to say if we’re blessed
Or if we’re cursed
Yes it’s still the same ol’ world
A little older
Just like me
A little colder like my hands
And a little empty

very good

Great piece. Only wish so much of the same old world was still unchanged, rather than being destroyed so our descendants have uncertain futures.

It is a beautiful poem. Finally just the same old reality of a poem , reminding me why love can only be a poem. Thanks for sharing.

Covid has taken the joy out of so many things. And if you’ve gotten covid, you may feel even more drained of enthusiasm for life. God has the answer, He always does, He always will. We can find it still, if we go outside and listen. If we go inside we hear, that still small voice telling us, “You are loved”
