You’re getting a number of preachy & disapproving comments from people looking down their nose at your “hate” instead of noting the playfulness and cleverness of the poem! They’re proving its point with precision. 😆 The fact that you wrote it at all is evidence you’re not a “hater”. Just another human using art to vent; any emotion can be fodder for creativity. Screw the drones.
There’s a war against “unhappiness” or “discomfort”, or just anything that doesn’t scream happy happy, joy joy… it depresses me with its shallow conformity. I look around and see massive schools of fish pivoting as one to follow the current thing (pun not intended). Our society has turned into a dull contest of sameness and compliance. Who can agree and comply the hardest?!
PS: keep this quote from Stephen King in your back pocket: “If you expect to succeed as a writer, rudeness should be the second-to-least of your concerns. The least of all should be polite society and what it expects. If you intend to write as truthfully as you can, your days as a member of polite society are numbered, anyway.”
