A Poem Is Not A Reflection

A poem is not a reflection

Of the poet or his thinking

The poet, while, is a shadow

Of the poem that he’s drinking

He is merely a medium

Between the poem and the page

To flung the doors wide open

Of the concealed cage

  1. Wwwwooooowwwww…. Love this one!!!

Sorry to bring a twist it religion or spirituality, for me a poet or an artist is like a prophet. The message come through them, but it is a message from higher sources of love and compassion, translated into words or expression through the poet or artist.

  2. “Of the poem that he’s drinking” – the weirdest sentence I ever came across so far to rhyme another… πŸ˜…πŸ˜…πŸ˜…

    Good poetry, though.
