I fail to follow
Why I feel empty and hollow
Because you broke my trust?
Or because I skipped breakfast?

If you don’t get breakfast right, all else follows.

Tough one, not easy to put those broken pieces together and even if you do, the scar is there.

Betrayal is a rough part of life but unfortunately happens often.
The empty feeling that the relationship made a fool of you creates cement blocks set in mortar, building walls that are difficult to demolish.
Let it be a lesson and move on to either forgive or forget while the mortar is still wet.

Broken trust is more of a bubble guts situation than a hunger pain for me.

This is a valuable question to ask, Frank. Sometimes skipping a meal can reek havoc on our emotions and thoughts. Feelings associated with breaking your trust such as betrayal and sadness, can surely surface when your brain a body needs fuel. I say, try having a snack first. Then see if the emotions have a place in that space of pause. 😊✍️ nice work!

Exactly so. It makes mockery of my fragile humanity and I force myself to let it go, because it’s unanswerable. Well said Frank.
