Sleep, my dear baby, sleep
The night is dark and deep
If you refuse to shut your eyes
The corporate monster will a-rise
What will he do to me?
Oh he is evil and he has his evil ways
He’ll pick you up and send you off
To study in a local school
Where you’ll find yourself surrounded
By other hapless kids of your age
He’ll pressurise you to wake up early
He’ll pressurise you to study hard
He’ll pressurise you to be disciplined
He’ll pressurise you to grow up
So that you may get good grades
And constantly compare yourself with other kids
So that you may get into a good college
And take on a huge debt to study
So that you may get a good internship
And be paid nothing for your work
So that you may get a good job
And finally start to pay off the debt
So that you may find a good partner
And average out your miseries
So that you may afford a good house
And take on another debt for it
So that you may have a good career
And have no time for fun or family
So that you may have a good retirement
And have lots of money but no time or energy
By all means stay awake
If that is your kind of thing
But if you want to avoid it all
And not end up like me
Quit your frolic
Start counting sheep
Sleep, my dear baby, sleep

In my opinion this Lullaby is not good for child because when it hearing “Monster” , “Evil” after that child will be scared. This is not Lullaby. We Georgian people have Lullaby where you can hear voices like God’s angels and also words is warm and sweet to calm and sleep well. It’s called : “Iavnana” – Tamriko Chikhonelidze

What a stressful lullaby! Uh, I don’t think you have a knack for helping babies (or adults) sleep.

Sharing work and effort makes life worthwhile, strange profit share is a model no longer taken seriously.

This post speaks how sleep is so important, and how getting degrees in school is just a paper, coz life is different. It throws surprising twists always. Interesting writing, frank

Good one! My son feels exactly like that right now. He started his first job after his studies and calls it, “Zero Life!” He may be right.
