That will make your heart leap with delight
That will let you know how much I think about you day and night

And wrap it up and gift it to you
And put all my emotions in it such that they sound true

But my hands just don’t let me
I’m always looking for perfection but it just isn’t in me

At one point, I told God I wanted to write songs, but my poems weren’t songs. Then, one day, I sang a song and remembered to write it down. Since then, I’ve written like fifteen songs.
It turned out my poems weren’t songs, but my songs are poems. When I read this poem, I hear your heart sing. 😊
