A Halloween Contest

All the evils gathered once
In a Halloween Contest
To decide who was the darkest
The scariest and the best

A monster claimed he had eaten
Seven children at one go
A bat bragged he’s a nightmare
To five hundred girls and more

A vampire had found a potion
That turned the sun away
A zombie was too dumb
To have anything good to say

Then finally came my turn
To say what I had done
I claimed to have done nothing
Except borne a special son

I exclaimed it out loud —
2020 is my son’s name
I heard other contestants gasping
The judges did the same

Needless to say I won
Brought home the coveted prize
No one dares come close to me
Or look me in the eyes

Scarecrow

Her eyes her eyes
Her smile her smile
Reeks of evil
Her hands wield power
Stranger than black magic
She’s hollow she’s hollow
She’s cold she’s cold
She’s frightening
Every time I see her
I cannot sleep
Where does she come from?
Where does she go?
Nobody knows
Her nails sharp and fresh
Point to my heart
Tell my soul to calm down
Help me get some rest
Rid her from my dreams
She is nothing more
Than a scarecrow to me

Yes I Am A Witch

Yes I am a witch
But with no crooked nose
Neither have I a grey cloak
Like everybody knows

I own not a flying broom
To fly me around at night
Neither do I have an appearance
To give young kids a fright

No cat I have as a friend
With eyes of evil true
Neither do I stir a giant pot
Where magic potions brew

What kind of witch am I?
Do I not know my art?
I only have one witch’s trait
I have evil in my heart

I Am Eternal Darkness

I am Eternal Darkness
Shield me from the sun
When the moon is in full bloom
It’ll be time to have some fun

I am Eternal Darkness
Taking shelter from the day
As the night creeps in with might
I’ll cast shadows all the way

I am Eternal Darkness
Protect me from this light
I will spread dread in your head
When the sun is out of sight

She Kissed A Snake

She kissed a snake
It lay slain
She looked at me
To kiss again

The Wolves Have Surrounded Us

The wolves have surrounded us
With fiery eyes they stalk
In the quiet of a moonless night
Hear their hunger talk
Yesterday it was our fellow men
Who fought against the beasts
Alas they lost and so today
We’re no more than their feast

A Bot Invited Me To Dinner – Part 2

A bot invited me to dinner
I reached on time well-groomed
On reaching there I found out
I’m the one he planned to consume

A Brother’s Woe

It was not his fault
That they loved him more
Still he had to pay the price
His blood splattered on the floor

Slither

There are a hundred worms
Slithering aimlessly
How could I even kill them
When they’re all inside of me?

An Invisible Monster

Wear your battle armour
The gloves and heavy masks
Tonight we pray and set out
For an impossible task

Get your weapons ready
Have them fully loaded
We took this monster lightly
Now the scene’s exploded

If we don’t stop it now
It’s guaranteed to wipe us out
The end of our eternity
Without a trace of doubt

We’ve watched a hundred movies
Ending happily them all
Tonight we become heroes
We fight until we fall

This ain’t even October
With fun-filled Halloween
Tonight we fight a monster
Who cannot be seen
