Ever since I’ve met you girl
On a clear sunny afternoon
There has been no brighter light
You’ve been my twinkling moon

Broken like a jigsaw puzzle I
Felt always incomplete
You came to be the missing piece
That fitted in so neat

Yes my life has taken a turn
Stormy clouds have now made way
Made way for the beaming moon
That shines on me all day

Sometimes I sit and wonder
How different life would be
If you hadn’t stepped inside my heart

Fluttering and colourful

There’s also metamorphosis

For it starts off as an egg
A little seed in one’s heart

Then it grows into a caterpillar
And caterpillars must eat a lot
There’s a lot of struggle ahead
Much of which it knows not

The struggle is the pupa
Where the bond is molded with care
And when the pupa splits
There’s a butterfly in the air

Fleeting and mysterious
Comes and goes at will
Where to? Where from? Nobody knows
How does it happen? Why does it happen? Nobody knows

Hard to tell its purpose
Or the meaning behind it all
Is there a secret that we do not know?
Or does it hold no meaning at all?

Transports you to a magical world
Where everything is to your liking
And it is your empire
But sometimes it puts you
In a ghoulish place
You feel like running away
But there is no escape

Some last longer than others
But they all must end
Not to leave your side forever
But to come back stronger
