When We Were Two

When we were two

I proposed to you

But then you asked me to wait

Now that we’re three —

Will you marry me?

Come on girl, it’s getting late

  1. The last line indeed intrigues me…”Come on girl It’s getting late”, He is definitely impatiently asking in his attempt to persuade her once again. He doesn’t profess undying love! He seems annoyed. Did he ask simply because of the kid? The question is WHY is it late? Could possibly his love be tempted towards another OR perhaps he is afraid of losing her and that she is not totally his…very interesting!
    Thanks for sharing!

  2. I don’t know why, but I found the last line very funny. It seemed like it was going to be such a serious ending but ended up being a man impatiently waiting for this girl to say yes. I also feel like when you said now that we’re three, you mean they might have had a child. Great post!
