Dear Lucy, dear Lucy
What is wrong with you?
Doc is on his way
I hope you make it through
Have you ever noticed
You’ve been acting really strange?
You don’t eat a thing
Do you need a change?
You talk to yourself
You stare at the sky
You lock yourself up
Then I hear you cry
…
Dear Lucy, dear Lucy
What is wrong with you?
Has my little princess
Caught a savage flu?
Has someone hurt you?
Were you stung by a bee?
Or have you inherited
The devil in me?
I read this and it brought up a terrible ache inside from repressed ghosts of the past. For someone to write this so precisely I can only imagine has experienced or witnessed a dark. You put this into words very well.

Thank you, i appreciate that. I’ll become okay. Its okay to not be okay…I tell myself that when I don’t see the blue in the skies. You keep writing with your heart, its touching others.

I can’t tell whether this is my favorite of your poems, but it is exquisitely penned, vibrant, touching and full of beautiful images. Very, very well done, Frank!
