I Left The Window Open And Death Came In

I left the window open
And death came in
With a weighing scale
For my virtues and my sins
I checked the clock. It was
A quarter past two at night
My wife was sleeping next to me
So I didn’t turn on the lights
Death granted me a final wish
As she forced me up from my bed
I grabbed the opportunity
“Can you take my wife instead?”
