Time Has No Meaning

Time has no meaning
Neither do we I suppose
We birth and die
Time comes and goes

  1. Isaac Watts wrote similar words a while ago now:

    Time, like an ever rolling stream,
    Bears all its sons away;
    They fly, forgotten, as a dream
    Dies at the opening day.

    But it was part of his hymn:

    Oh God our help in ages past,
    Our hope for years to come;
    Our shelter from the stormy blast
    And our eternal home.

    The stormy blast is real – but not the whole picture – else neither you nor i would carry on writing!

    Happy Christmas, Frank!

  2. Great post…got me thinking! Afraid Frank I have to beg to differ, time has meaning…nothing matters but time! Possessions loose importance as I age but we are important! We can leave an imprint on those we interact with in our daily lives. We can make a difference, it may only be a small ripple in a big pond but it is still a ripple!

  3. We measure, from here to there.
    I am here, I may be there,
    when the clock strikes twelve.
    But the hour hand is slow,
    it seems.
    I may only reach eleven,
    or ten.
    I am sure I’m past my prime-nine.
    My minutes, like seconds,
    nano-beats, do I live my life.
    But fate allots what it sees fit,
    I’ll take what it commits.
