When I’m lying in my bed

With a thousand thoughts in my head

Amongst the chaotic crowd

Only one thought stands out loud

The thought of you is stuck to me

When you’re not close to me

It’s a shame we have to be away

A moment seems so long today

You are the light that shines in me

The beat that my heart beats

The love that fills my empty soul

The love that makes me complete

Everything else seems so forlorn

I can’t seem to remember anyone, anything, anymore except you

Give me what I need now

I need to have you somehow

The cracks are there to let you in

This is the end where I begin

My story yearns for an happy ending

When stars are dead and sun’s ascending

Never to die or lose the way

A moment seems so long today

You are the light that shines in me

The love that has me in control

The love that makes me complete

You’ve got me feeling reborn

I can’t seem to remember anyone, anything, anymore except you

Lift me up to the sky

From this place where I do lie

Drop me down without a clue

And I’ll land right in the arms of you

Never let it fall apart

And I have no more words to say

    This is a poem by one of my favorite word press poets. For those who follow my blog, you know that I am in a long distance relationship. The emptiness that I feel when I miss my Saint us indescribable, until today. I could never put it into perfect words how he makes me feel and how bad I need and will always need him.   21. Such a sweet heart. Love, every positivity, joy, compassion, forgiveness. Such a pure heart to me. But I pray you would love God the Father, more than anyone, or anything. Always keep this love in your heart, love is more than anything to me. It is love, pure love, that changes, anything. The reason is this: God is love and love is God. And God is all you will ever need, to make your life, mean something. Just a Word from me. God is my Light, He shines, through me. But a lantern, is what the world will see. Even though it is He who is the Light, which shines through me. Take care, Frank Solanki 🙂

  41. Frank. This is your best work yet. I love the recurring last line on every stanza that ties it all together. This could be a love ballad. It flows Well, the rhymes are not ambiguous, it’s just a great poem. You need to find a competition that you can enter this in. Dave
