No Flying Throne

Sometimes I look up at the sky

And I don’t really know why

There is not a hero in me

The sun is high

I want it green

When my feet land on the soil

The ground doesn’t shake in turmoil

No villains, dark enemies, no

Evil plan to foil

No grandeur show

In my bed, I lie alone

No windy cape, no flying throne

Why does it have to be so quiet?

I’ll chase a stone

In the starry night

  1. Frank, this was a really great post!! Sometimes the very best and greatest heroes are the ones who are unsung and unknown but to God?? Taking care of the little details and hurts of others is best. See the Bible where the sinners say, “When did we see you naked or hunger or sick or in prison?” and the response was if you have not done it unto the least of these, My Brethern, ye have not done it unto me”. rough paraphrase. Very Nicely Done! Loved the – alone in bed line.
