Diamond Dew

Will Earth start to grow?

Will the flowers turn to snow?

Will the birds be free?

Will you love me?

Will the sky ever turn red

And fall upon my golden bed

While the winds cease to blow

And become my window?

Will the moon begin to burn

And light up the sun

As bright as the clouds could be?

Will you love me?

Will the frogs fly in air?

Will the panthers say a prayer?

Will the grass be painted blue?

Will I forget you?

Will the angels come down

And lift the silver town

While the storks are asleep

And the candles quietly weep?

I’ll swap my boots

For the tingling roots

With a diamond dew

If I ever forget you
