The Silence Of The Night Fills Me

I wake up so lonely

In the middle of the night

I stare out of the window

And watch the night show

But there is nothing here to see

The silence of the night fills me

Now it does not matter

I feel so much better

My soul doesn’t feel so empty

The silence of the night fills me

I stare at a lonely star

It helps me heal my scar

There is no voice in me

The silence of the night fills me

  1. I get peace from this. Loneliness isn’t always negative, right? It can just be the state of being alone, but sometimes that’s welcome. A state in wait, so to speak. And silence can certainly be healing. I have also felt this recently. I guess that’s why meditation can be life altering. You sound well, my friend? On a good road?

      1. I can’t be happier to hear that. Probably the best news I’ve heard all day. Finding yourself again is the big life changer. At least it was for me. It’s hard to be too depressed when you always have yourself…

  2. I love this poem… And I relate to your feelings very much… emptiness, nothingness, melancholy filled by the silent darkness of the night . Thanks for this! ❤
