Though I don’t believe in love anymore
I will sing a love song
Just like I used to before

I believed love was sufficient
Can surpass any wall
Enough to live and die for
And that would be all

Thought love was the greatest feeling
Absolutely pure and divine
And it would come to me eventually
So I could call it mine

But I was terribly mistaken
Proved bitterly wrong
Must stop watching movies
Must stop listening to songs

For love doesn’t exist
As she rightly pointed out
Life is about convenience
There isn’t any doubt
…
But there is nothing here
That you need to learn
You just keep believing
Love isn’t meant for everyone
…
So I will write a love song

Like the poem, BUT … gotta say … my experience suggests love is quite real, just not at all predictable or containable. So, indeed, sing that song and be open to what might sneak up on you.

We don’t know the perfect person who would love us like we deserve
But we can’t shut our heart because the perfect someone who deserves us might walk in at that instincts.

Oh Frank, don’t you have a pet to love, a place to love, a book, a tune or picture to love, even a memory to love and most of all, isn’t there something about yourself to love? If you think love doesn’t exist you can’t share it with anyone or anything. Find something to give just a tiny bit of love to and it will come winging back. It isn’t all man/woman love. That’s hard and can let you down – but never say love doesn’t exist.
