I Wish I Could Sing

I wish I could sing
For my fellow men
And touch their hearts
Again and again

Fill their stomachs with my voice
Where there should be food
And though it may not be enough
It may atleast sound good
And play a soulful melody
For all the children who weep
And not stop until
I know they are fast asleep

I wish I could sing
For my fellow men
And touch their hearts
Again and again

There are homeless people out there
With not a place to stay
Music may not be their shelter
But it will surely make their day
Then there are those who are sick and injured
And going through a lot of pain
I’ll sing my songs to heal them
And I’ll sing them once again

I wish I could sing
For my fellow men
And touch their hearts
Again and again

  1. You sing in a different way your words sing softly to the soul of those who would read and absorb. The vibrations from your words sing to everyone, this is your song. Finding your voice does not necessarily mean singing but using the right words, phrases to reach those it is intended for. Love it.

  2. Wonderful. I especially like this line:
“Music may not be their shelter
But it will surely make their dayMusic may not be their shelter
But it will surely make their day”
