If Stars Were To Fall

If stars were to fall down on this street
Like leaves do when it’s Autumn
There’d be no need for bricks or concrete
All the bridges would be forgotten

No wonder all our friends and foes
Are gazing towards the sky
All the thorns of a lovely red rose
Are wrapped inside a lie

And though the girl with a broken tooth
Will cry out in pain
Her sister will speak the truth
And wait for the clouds to rain

For our last moment will be sealed
When we wave goodbye
For long, tomorrow can’t be concealed
We’d give it another try

  2. I love your word-winding but I can never quite control my mind when reading. I always find my thoughts running down random little word triggered trails and by the time I get to the end I am lost in a forest of feeling.
