Time Will Come

The time will come
For you to sing
Like the birds do
When it’s spring
And then you go painting
The whole town
To gain access
To a crown

The time will come
For you to dance
To initiate brewing
Of a new romance
And just when the music
Gets really loud
You’d realise you’d have to
Face the crowd

The time will come
For you to stand
And do all that you can
For a perfect pretty hand
And though you may feel
A mighty tremor
No hope has ever left
A mighty dreamer

The time will come
For you to speak
And let everyone know
That you are weak
And all the memories
Of yesterday
Would seem so distant
And far away

The time will come
The day will dawn
And not a single moment
Will be spent alone
And though it may not be
The most ideal day
You’d look back for sure
And laugh someday

The time will come
It’s not too far
It will change your world
And who you are
And when you kneel
Down to pray
You wouldn’t be wishing for
Any other way

The time will come
Like it always does
For him and her
For them and us
And who knows then
What is to become
We shall be waiting for
The time to come

  2. This is such a cute poem. I could see this in a children’s story book with colorful illustrations. I get Dr. Seuss~ish vibes (in a good way.)
