Has the world collided
Into the strangest land?
Are the birds of monsoon
Calling out to a friend?
Didn’t I ever warn you
Not to leave my hand?
For it really hurts me
The way these tears do stand
But you go on dancing
And you keep on dreaming
And I’ll always watch you like I always have
When the rains come a-calling

Have you ever wondered
If there’s a secret way
Possibly for chasing
Rabbits and clowns all day?
Let the mystery unfold
Let the magic say
If it wants to leave us
Or does it plan to stay
But you go climb a rainbow
And you keep on wondering
And I’ll never leave you like I never have
When the rains come a-calling

Take all the joys you want to
And lock them in your mind
Years from now, someday
Your memory will act so kind
To recollect all that you used to
Do and have left behind
And in that reminiscence
A special treasure you will find
But don’t bother about tomorrow
You just keep on jumping
And I’ll always love you like I always have
When the rains come a-calling
